Announcement from Estes Park, Colorado based Active at Altitude, organizers of the annual US Trail Running Conference in partnership with the American Trail Running Association.
Active at Altitude, creator of experiences that educate, inspire, and empower an active, healthy, mindful lifestyle, has announced a new program to help guide runners through these challenging times with an uncertain future for races due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Runners Mindset delivers 21 daily mindset activities that have been designed to help runners become more mindful, motivated, inspired, grateful, and connected, whatever challenges may come their way. The program is delivered by daily e-mails, that each contain a video link that includes a positive mindset activity that guides runners step by step through each activity. The program is accompanied by a workbook that is recommended to record experiences, thoughts and feelings as runners progress through the program exercises.
The Runners Mindset program is part of a portfolio of mindset initiatives for runners from activacuity®, a division of Active at Altitude. Active at Altitude is based in Estes Park, Colorado, USA, and is one of the leading providers of running retreats and camps for adult runners. They provide women’s running camps and co-ed trail running camps for all levels of runners from all over the World. The Runners Mindset program has been endorsed by Melody Fairchild, a National Masters Champion and cross country course record holder, and Tayte Pollmann, a Nike Trail elite athlete.
Terry Chiplin, owner of Active at Altitude, and the visionary behind the portfolio of mindset initiatives for runners comments: “We were hearing from runners that with the cancellation and postponement of all races due to the COVID pandemic, they felt lost and without the direction that training for a goal race brought them. The Runners Mindset program has been created with the specific purpose of guiding runners how to become more mindful, motivated and connected, and aligns them with the many intrinsic rewards that running can represent. We are excited to share this new program with runners across the United States, and look forward to introducing further programs once races return to the running calendar later this year.”
Registration opened Thursday April 23, with the program starting on May 1. If a runner registers on or after May 1, they will start to receive the full 21 day program the day after they register. The program cost is $15 per runner.
