Your table will be adorned with plates of thinly sliced wagyu beef, sauces, rainbow noodles, vegetables, and seafood, all ready to be dunked into your own little pot of hot flavoured broth. The 24-hour smoked beef brisket is served with a dollop of pickled chilli relish and instantly melts in your mouth, whilst the fat melts into the soft naco below. You can also opt for smoked lamb, fried chicken, and a vegan option too!

Karvon, a Uyghur restaurant on Finchley road, serve up traditional dishes in their homely, family-run restaurant. Their hand-pulled noodles are out of this world good; freshly made with the perfect amount of bite to them. The big plate chicken is what you want to come here for though large belt noodles that are sitting in an aromatic, spiced chicken broth, filled with chopped chicken pieces, chillies, and peppers. A great option if youre in a group!

Moi Moi Island is a Caribbean and West African takeaway joint that has recently opened in Kentish Town, by the team behind Mamasons Dirty Ice Cream, Guanabana, Ramo Ramen, and Bintang. If youre looking for something hot, the beef suya is what you need to order; beef seasoned in a combination of peanut powder, ginger, and PLENTY of Nigerian chillies, served with rice or in a wrap. Just a warning, this can be quite hot so keep the tissues handy and opt for extra white sauce. Other notable dishes here are the tacos and jerk chicken with rice and beans.

5. MASA FRIED CHICKEN BURGER, HONEST BURGERS, VARIOUS

Honest Burgers x Petare Masa Fried Chicken Burger

Honest Burgers have been doing some tasty collaborations over the last few months and their latest one with Petare might just be the best one! Petare, who serves award-winning fried chicken, and Honest Burgers have joined forces to create the Masa Fried Chicken burger, which consists of a buttermilk fried chicken thigh with guava glaze, charred corn slaw, hot habanero mayonnaise, lettuce, and pickles crikey. This is served with the Honest Burgers famous rosemary salted chips, all for 12.50. Just be sure to order this without the bacon!

6. ASSAM PEDAS, NORMAHS, QUEENSWAY

Weve raved on about Normahs from every street corner since the minute we stepped foot into the cute family-run restaurant, but by golly, the food just gets better and better. If youre looking for the ultimate comfort dish, tangy, sour, sweet, and hot, then the Assam Pedas is a must, must-order. You can expect a whole seabass stewed in a tamarind-heavy soup filled with okra and pineapple, where the heat (the good-kind) instantly hits you at the back of the the throat. They only have 20 portions available a day so make sure you pre-order or head there early! The curry laksa is a good alternative if you dont fancy the fish.
