Your doctor may recommend eliminating gluten from your child’s diet for a while to see if there is an improvement in their symptoms. If there is an improvement, your doctor may recommend further testing to confirm a gluten intolerance.
If your child has been diagnosed with celiac disease, they must be on a strict gluten-free diet for life. However, if they are gluten intolerant, they may only need to avoid gluten when they experience digestive or skin issues or when their general health is compromised. The key is to recognize the symptoms and plan to address them when they arise.
What foods to avoid in a Gluten-free Diet?
