Stocking Up the Kitchen Part 1!

admin

Hello everyone and welcome back to another blog post on ~Foodie with a Passion~! Happy Friday everyone as I was supposed to post this yesterday so we’re doing things one day late 🤣 Don’t worry you’ll get tomorrow’s stock up post part 2 as well! So without further ado, remember to click subscribe so you don’t miss another Foodie Fun 🤩

Alrighty! So while I was busy closing on my house, I was also busy grabbing things for the new kitchen. This haul was Walmart and Winn-Dixie.

Grocery Haul
  • Nature’s Own Whole Wheat Bread – finally I can throw in a loaf of bread in the freezer. Peanut butter toast 🍞😆
  • Shredded Hashbrowns – since my homemade “shredded” potatoes didn’t cut it for me this week. I’m taking the short cut 🤣
  • California Blend Veggies – got a bag of these so I can just grab a portion to steam and make it last for a few meals
  • Light n Fit Strawberry Greek Yogurt – for breakfasts and snacks
  • Yellow Onions – apparently these were BOGOs but with just me right now I can’t finish all of these and Hubby prefers red onions any way. But the reds weren’t the greatest quality soooo yellow it is while he’s gone. I think I’ll make some pork curry again
  • Red Potatoes – for the pork curry
  • Green Onion – I made Beef with Tofu and green onions with garnish. I’ll make fried rice and will use this too
  • Garlic and Onion Powder – my new spice rack didn’t have the two most common spices so I went to get some
  • Dukes Mayo – THE Mayo of the south. This is the only Mayo that’s creamy enough that it’s kind of like Japanese Mayo
  • Ketchup – because I have to make my fake 1000 island for my chicken nuggets that o have in the freezer
  • Flounder Fillets – this one just happened to be on sale. Might just do a simple Lemon pepper fish.
  • Boneless Country Style Ribs – the perfect pork for curry and although it’s not pork belly but I can still kind of make charsiu for ramen
  • Chuck Steak – for another beef dish in the next couple of days; I haven’t decided yet. If I don’t use it, it’ll go in the freezer
  • Bacon – and of course I just wanted a super basic bacon and eggs this morning so I got some

And there we have it! Stay tuned for tomorrow and let me know in the comments below what you have planned for the weekend. Until then…signing off!
