For The Busy Mom: 5 Easy Dinners You Can Try Next Week

admin

You have many tasks and chores to do and you don't have dinner planned. That's a common theme among many people, including the most organized member of the family.

Moms, too, can become too busy, tired, or overwhelmed with their job maintaining a home that dinner might be the last thing they need or want to do. There are a lot of recipe options for dinner, but not all are easy, fast, or even appetizing, especially if the same recipes are being made over and over again in the span of a few days.

If you're tired of thinking of more ideas on what ulam to feed your family, here are a few unique ways and easy dinner recipes to try this coming week:

1 Ginataang Manok with Sayote Recipe

There are many savory ginataang recipes but if you're tired of the same old ulam you have been making, why not try a change? This ginataang manok recipe is the marriage of a ginataang recipe and a tinolang manok recipe. The result is a creamy main that you can enjoy with lots of sweetness from the coconut, meatiness from the chicken, and hearty chunks of sayote or green papaya if you can get your hands on one. You can even swap the sayote with kalabasa for an extra boost in sweetness and replace the ginger with turmeric or luyang dilaw for brilliantly vibrant dish.

2 Giniling na Menudo Recipe

The menudo is one of the classic Filipino recipes that should be in your list of go-to recipes. However, we don't always have time to simmer and tenderize the pork (or the beef!). When time is a factor in getting dinner on the table, turn to quick-cooking meats instead. You can use chicken or turn to ground pork if you want the same flavor but without taking the time to tenderize. You have to love how fast ground meat cooks!

3 Rice Cooker Pasta Cubano Recipe

Pasta will always be a crowd pleaser, especially if it's hearty and delicious. This version of the pasta is similar to a baked mac recipe but with a giant difference: It's cooked in a rice cooker. That's what makes this an easy recipe! You just need to get all the ingredients in the rice cooker, let it cook, and in 20 minutes without you stirring or hovering over the appliance, you have a flavorful pasta dinner ready to serve. You can do the same thing with an even simpler recipe with a big dose of creaminess such as mac and cheese.

4 Steamed Fish Recipe

Steaming is a fast cooking method. That's because steam is created beyond the boiling point of water, so it's hotter. That's why it cooks faster. You can turn to this simple cooking method to cook any number of dishes quickly! You can even take a fish fillet and season it simply with salt, pepper, and a little calamansi or lemon juice for dinner or try any of these fish recipes that are more flavorful with more ingredients.
