I love cooking when I have the time, but trying to come up with a meal plan every single week which can be suitable for myself, my husband AND my 15 month old daughter can take its toll!
So I thought I would start to document the meals I make on a weekly basis as a record for me to look back on but also hopefully to give you guys inspiration if you find yourself in the same predicament.
I now order all of my food shops from Ocado. Ocado is an online supermarket which is delivered to you. I love that the App suggests lots of tasty recipes. If I want to make any of them, then I just add all of ingredients to my basket. It is super fast and super easy to use and gives me plenty of inspiration! Many of the recipe links you will see are Ocado recipes for this reason.
It is also worth mentioning that both James and I are vegetarian, although we do sometimes make meat dishes just solely for our daughter.
These are some of the meals we made this week. Recipe links are below!
Vegetarian leek & Mushroom Lasagne
Homemade Pizzas
I say homemade tongue in cheek as I definitely did not make the bases! The bases I used were these:
For the toppings, I used Passata and then added lots of veggies and mozarella. Of course, if you are a meat eater you can add any meats of your choice. I find this a great way to ensure my daughter eats her veggies as she absolutely loves pizza and I can add whatever I like as the topping.
Homemade Fish Pie
We dont eat this, but we always make a large batch for our daughter who absolutely loves it! Definitely not the greatest photo, but I assure you it is a winner.
Vegetarian Pie with Sweet Potato Mash
Paneer Curry
Again, not the best photo but this was delicious! I added courgettes instead of peas as that was all I had in & served with rice. This was only for me and James, not for my daughter!
Pomodoro Pasta Shells
Definitely one of the easiest this week, but one of my favourites. My daughter absolutely loved this and it is super easy to make!
Blueberry Muffins
These definitely werent my favourite this week, but my husband seemed to like them!
Chocolate Flapjacks
These have slowly turned into one of my favourite guilty pleasures and are so easy to make!
So that is it for some of the recipes I made this week! My son is only a couple of weeks old, so the rest of the time we ate whatever we could throw together in the fridge!
But I hope this give you some ideas for your weekly meals.
Thank you so much for reading
