National Taco Day 2021 — deals, discounts, and freebies

Monday, October 4th, 2021, is National Taco Day. Several restaurants are celebrating with food special — and we’re adding more deals and offers as we find them.

Last year there were also deals at Taco Bell and On the Border, so we’re keeping our eyes open for announcements from those chains.

Here’s what we have so far. Follow the links for more info and to find locations near you.

Remember, not every location participates in every deal.

Chronic Tacos

Get a FREE taco on October 4th! All you have to do is purchase any Coca-Cola fountain drink at a participating location. The offer is available in-store only. Unfortunately, we’re down to one metro area location in Alpharetta.

Chuy’s

It’s dollar taco time at Chuy’s!
Add a crispy or soft ground beef taco to any dine-in entrée purchase for just $1.
The Tex-Mex restaurant is also offering Tequila Floaters for $1 to top your favorite margarita with an extra pour of tequila.

The taco love doesn’t stop there. Chuy’s is calling on taco fans everywhere to dress like a taco, post a photo with #ChuysTacoDay and head to your nearest participating location for a FREE dine-in entrée of your choice.

Plus, for die-hard fans of both tacos and the restaurant, the chain’s popular Taco Tees are only $10 each on National Taco Day.

Del Taco

The Mexican fast-food restaurant started offering deals on National Quesadilla Day Sept. 25 and will keep the party going through  National Taco Day (Oct. 4) with its 10 Days of Deals.

The deals are only open to members of the chain’s new Del Yeah! Rewards program, so app registration is required to access deals. Each daily deal will be available on the app under “Your Offers.” Just be sure to “Save Offer” on your account before making a purchase.

Here are the October offers:

• Oct. 1 – FREE 3-Layer Queso Nachos with Stuffed Quesadilla Taco meal purchase
• Oct. 2 – Buy-one-get-one FREE Stuffed Quesadilla Taco
• Oct.  3 – FREE Mini-Shake with any Stuffed Quesadilla Taco purchase
• Oct. 4 – FREE Stuffed Quesadilla Taco with any purchase

Limit one daily offer per customer, per day. The deals are not valid with any other offer, discount or coupon. Plus, the daily specials are not valid with third-party delivery providers. To review the details of the offer, click here.

Long John Silver’s

According to a press release we received via email, the seafood chain is offering a coupon for a FREE taco with purchase of any combo meal.

At participating locations, you can get the taco of your choice, filled with either: 

• Wild-caught, batter-dipped Alaska Pollock
• Wild-caught, hand-cut North Pacific Salmon
• Grilled Shrimp
• Or for one day only – crispy breaded, buttery Norway Lobster Bites.

You’ll need a coupon, though — find it by following Long John Silver’s on social media or subscribing to the LJS email club.

Tin Lizzy’s

 Tin Lizzy’s Cantina gets into the National Taco Day spirit by serving $2 crispy shell tacos all day long!

Each old-school style taco is filled with classic seasoned beef, lettuce, tomato, and cheese in a crispy shell. These mouthwatering favorites will be available at all locations. Arrive early, because quantities are limited.

Conveniently, this year’s National Taco Day falls on a Monday — meaning TLC margaritas are just $4 for Margarita Monday.
