The Best Condiments for Seafood: Our Store Bought Favorites

I get it! Youve spent a decent amount of time prepping and cooking delicious seafood. Youre hungry to just dig in. You really dont want to spend extra starving seconds on making condiments from scratch.

Weve got you covered! Here are our favorite store-bought (or online bought) condiment selections to get you to the dining table faster.

Cocktail Sauce

Cocktail sauce has to be the most popular condiment option for seafood. From shrimp cocktail to fried fish, you want something tangy, a little sweet, and loaded with horseradish to go along with it.

Crosse & Blackwell Cocktail Sauce Happens to be one of the most balanced cocktails sauces we tasted. Not too sweet, not too tangyjust right. Great flavor and a few extra aromatic ingredients that make this so much more than just ketchup and horseradish.

Old Bay Cocktail Sauce Our Maryland roots wouldnt have it any other waythan Old Bay. Our favorite of the classic style cocktail sauces, spiced with our favorite seasoning blend.

Stonewall Kitchen Tequila Lime Cocktail Sauce Our fancy cocktail winner would be Stonewall Kitchens Tequila Lime Cocktail Sauce. Nicely spiked and just waiting for a shrimp or two (or three).

Tartar Sauce

While cocktail sauce might be the most requested and popular condiment for seafood enthusiasts, tartar sauce might be mine. Mayo is life. And any and all derivatives are welcome. For the perfect cocktail sauce you want a creamy, not so heavy or greasy, mouthfeel. A nice piquant bite from the relish as well as a touch of sweetness.

Golds Tartar Sauce Golds goes above in beyond on the tartar with a little extra ingredienthorseradish. I know, I knowwe may be busting in on cocktail sauce with this one BUT that little bite of heat adds a nice touch.

Frischs Tartar Sauce If there was tartar sauce royalty, it would be Frischs. A family owned and operated businesss (the family behind Bobs Big Boy) original recipe is everything we ever wanted in a tartar sauce. Smooth, creamy, tart, dilly, a little sweetnessperfection!

Krafts Tartar Sauce This choice might come as a bit of a surprise but Kraft makes a damn good tartar sauce! Tangy, tart and sweet.

Remoulade

I am not getting off of my mayonnaise-based condiment soap box just yetLets get a little fancier with remoulade. The black tie wearing cousin of tartar sauce usually with some herbs, paprika or Cajun seasoning (remoulade is a big hit in Louisiana), chopped pickles and mayonnaise.

Sweet Baby Rays Secret Sauce Secret, yes. Lack of flavor? No way! This remoulade variant adds a little punch with horseradish. Finger licking good.

Boars Head Cajun Style Gourmaise Boars Head comes through in spectacular fashion with this spicier, super cajun remoulade sauce. Excellent quality and great for crab cake sandwiches!

Sir Kensingtons Special Sauce As close to homemade remoulade as we could find, Sir Kensingtons Special Sauce is top notch. Great flavor with a hint of mustard and farm-stand pickles.
